Wolf Appliance Service Mercer Island · WA

98040 Mercer Island, WA

Town Center

The condominium and townhouse blocks either side of 78th Avenue SE, where kitchens are compact and a range usually has to be drawn out of a tight run of cabinetry before anyone can reach the back of it.

Town Center is inside our normal Mercer Island route, which is the practical difference between a two-hour arrival window and a whole day at home waiting. Because the whole service area is one island, a second visit for an ordered part is rarely more than a few days out.

Most Wolf installations here are set into millwork that was built around the appliance. Floor protection goes down before anything is moved, the unit comes out on the gas line's own slack rather than being dragged, and the anti-tip bracket is re-engaged and checked in front of you before we leave.

  • Our range sits in a tight galley run and I assumed nobody could reach behind it. He drew it out on the slack in the gas line, found a failed igniter switch, and had it lit again that afternoon.

  • Hood rattled badly at the top two speeds. It was a loose blower wheel, not a dying motor as I had been told. Balanced and quiet again, and he vacuumed the ducting.

  • Steam was hanging in the kitchen no matter which speed I used. The blower was fine; a collapsed duct section above the ceiling was not. He showed me photographs before quoting.
